Johnny Lightning leads the way ~ Tom Lowe, Mac Ragan, and the JL Team prepare to return this beloved brand of diecast toy cars to stores and online retailers in 2016!

When it comes to variety, anyone would agree, Johnny Lightning leads the way by far. They have covered everything from Grandma's grocery getter, to Lost in Space stuff. Street Rods, Musclecars, Customs, Racing Legends, NHRA, NASCAR, and even Customizing Kits and Diorama Sets. There are still a couple of sites I have, and still do use to acquire valauable information on these little beauties. The sites are JL Collector, better known as "Wyatt's Site". www.jlcollector.net   The other is Lightning Lane. www.lightninglane.com   Here are just a very, very few of my fav beauties to check out.

Chevrolet Corvair

As far as grandma's grocery getters go, this Corvair may look as to be, but there was much more power under the deck lit than most thought. Johnny did an excellent job here.

Ford Lightning Pickup

Here is one that no other company has released. A powerful, but workable Ford pickup truck. Also came in several different colors.

Bass Boat

This was one of the very best to find to add to your collection. From the Bassin' USA series, it also came with a Chevy pickup. There were several of these released of the real pro fishermen.

1934 Ford Coupe

Johnny released so many examples of fine street rod style cars, you could definitely set up your own Street Rod car show in 1/64th scale. Very highly detailed open engines and beautiful custom colors and paint jobs.

Ford Pinto

I think this little Ford Pinto would be more along the line of grandma's grocery getter. Very small little compact cars. Just one of Johnny's variations.

Chevrolet Wagon "PIP"

This was a pretty unique series that ccollectors went wild over. Projects in Progress "PIPs" was the series. Several variations were released.

Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS.

A perfect show of modern muscle here. This was a popular casting and was very hard to find.

Chevrolet Nova

The detail is extremely amazing on this replica of Chevrolets most popular cars of the late 60s and early 70s.

Dodge Dart.

This little beast was a street sleeper. Looks like granny's church car, but under the hood was a powerful 340 engine. Another one of Johnny's finest.

Oldsmobile Toranado

An awesome scale replica and very hard to find. The Toranado was produced from 1966 to 1992. Designed to compete with the Ford Thunderbird.

Pontiac Grand Prix

The Grand Prix was produced from 1962 to 2008. Johnny Lightning nailed this one to a "T" as one of the nicest full size automobiles of it's era.

Plymouth Superbird

You can't beat this one for scale and detail. Extremely authentic.

1964 Ford Thunderbolt

A beautiful scale replica of one of Ford's hottest machines of the 60s.

Supercar was a TV series that ran in the early 60s. It was prouuced by Gerry Anderson and was a huge hit. Done with all scale models and marionette puppets. Johnny Lightning brought back many fond memories for us that remember this show by releasing this diecast replica. Extremely accurate.

I do know so many collectors will strongly welcome the return of Johnny Lightning. There is a new Johnny Lightning facebook page to keep up-dated on the progress. Just click on any of the lower 11 pics of the gorgeous Johnny Lightning cars above and warp right to the FB page!!!
